I don't use any of these myself; I find them too heavy, loud, and too maintenance-intensive.
Nevertheless, these stoves have two unbeatable advantages:

MYOG

MYOG stands for "make your own gear". It is a cost-effective way to obtain lightweight gear that is exactly suited to your own requirements.

Hobo Stoves

Hobo stoves are an invention of the American migrant workers (hobos), who warmed their meals in freight trains without immediately setting the entire wagon on fire.
The principle is the same for all hobo stoves.

Wood Gasifier Stoves

A wood gasifier stove is basically an improved hobo stove.

Alcohol

The alcohol stove is the most commonly used stove in the ultralight trekking scene, and there are good reasons for this:

Fuel gel is basically chemically processed alcohol that has a jelly-like consistency.
