Gas

Gas stoves are among the best-known camping stoves.

These are available for threaded and pierceable cartridges.
A threaded cartridge has an integrated valve, which allows you to unscrew the stove from a partially used cartridge and store it separately.
Among threaded cartridge stoves, there are also different types. Some are screwed directly onto the cartridge. These are lighter than gas stoves with their own stand.
With stoves that have their own stand, however, you can turn the cartridge upside down in winter so that the still liquid gas reaches the burner head by gravity.
On some models, a loop of the gas line is also placed over the burner head. This vaporizes the still liquid gas in this area in winter,
before it exits through the nozzles of the burner head and burns. Stoves of this design can be used without restriction in winter as well.
