Wood Gasifier Stoves

A wood gasifier stove is basically an improved hobo stove.

Additionally, a further air flow is provided on the outside of the combustion chamber.
This air is heated and let into the combustion chamber in the upper area.

This results in a second combustion of the combustion gases through the supplied warm oxygen from the air.

Pro:

  • Fuel does not need to be carried, as with the hobo stove
  • Looking into the flames of the second combustion is very nice
  • A bit more efficient in energy yield compared to a hobo stove

Con:

  • The classic wood gasifier stove has slightly more weight than a hobo stove.
