Overview

Welcome to my page all about (ultralight) trekking and hiking! Here I'll be posting new (short) tours, packing lists & information around the topic of traveling on a regular basis. Have fun browsing, Kai

Stoves

To be able to cook on the trail, it is very helpful to have a stove that suits your plans. Here I present some of the commercially available stoves that have proven themselves with me recently.

Heli-Nix Anti-Sinking Band

For meetups and comfortable camping I treated myself to a reasonably light chair, the Helinox Chair One. This chair weighs ~875g and has a pleasant packed size of about 4.2 litres. To be able to reach the kit quickly, it should not be buried too deep in the backpack. I make no claim to completeness for my kit; in case of emergency, I only want to get back to the next civilization with it.
