Ultralight Hike
Welcome to my page all about (ultralight) trekking and hiking! Here I'll be posting new (short) tours, packing lists & information around the topic of traveling on a regular basis. Have fun browsing, Kai
Here you will find a few recipes for trips. The recipes range in difficulty from “just pour hot water on it” to “gourmet meal”. These can of course be further refined.
Have fun trying them out!
Hooray!
It is done. Your raffle fairy has diligently turned the virtual raffle drum and would now like to announce the winners of the Christmas raffle to you.
The last raffle for Mateusz by Bimbi and Schwyzi has just started. To lend the two a hand, I am sharing it here on my blog. Once again, there are many attractive prizes on the topic of the outdoors to be won!
After just over a year of use, I would like to write down my experiences with the LG G4 smartphone. Over the course of this year, the smartphone replaced my GPS and my camera on most trips.
Since the first two stages of the Habichtswaldsteig had fascinated me so much, I could not rest and had to walk the remaining stages. So, no less than three weeks later, I continued my hike on this quality hiking trail.
While hiking on the Habichtswaldsteig I thought about what an ideal power bank for me should look like. I came to the conclusion that the perfect power bank for me must have the following features:
The SMD Deschutes is a mix of a pyramid-shaped shelter (called a mid) and a hexagonal base area. The tarptent has no floor, but it does have a roughly 30cm wide mosquito net that runs all the way around from the shelter walls down to the ground. This screens you surprisingly well from the blood-sucking critters. For me, at 1.72m, this tarptent has proven itself in just about any weather.
The Picogrill 85 is a folding hobo stove with very low weight, a large burn chamber and high stability. The hobo itself weighs just 85 grams. In the complete package with the carrying pouch and the bracket for more stability, the stove's total weight is 120g with a flat pack size.
Would you believe it, I actually missed the blog’s birthday. This blog turned one year old on 13.10.2016. I am quite happy with its development, more and more articles keep coming and I went on several new trips that year.
I still enjoy writing and publishing posts. Over the next few weeks, I have set myself the goal of writing at least one small article per week. Will I keep it up?
We will see!
