Ultralight Hike
The Nomadic Trekker Ultra is an ultralight wood gasifier. Like the Solo Stove, its design is borrowed from the ALB Forming Bush Buddy. Compared to the Solo Stove, however, there are a few differences. The Nomadic Trekker Ultra uses much thinner material and is therefore a good deal lighter.
The stove tips the scales at just 140g, making it only marginally heavier than the Picogrill 85 and nearly 100g lighter than the Solo Stove. Because of the thin material, the Nomadic Trekker should only be carried inside a pot to avoid damaging the stove.
When it comes to the size of the burn chamber and efficiency, the Solo Stove and the Nomadic Trekker Ultra are on par. Both stoves are similarly efficient.
Below you can see a few pictures from the first test. The amount of wood is enough to boil over two litres of water.
Once unpacked, the stove's resemblance to the Solo Stove is immediately obvious.
The flame pattern of the two stoves is also very similar.
All in all, this is a very good wood gasifier that delivers good performance at a low weight.
