During longer trips, you sometimes develop cravings for certain foods. For some it is chocolate, for me it is the desire for bell peppers and tomatoes. With the following dish, I have focused on easily obtainable ingredients. The ingredients can be bought at a market or greengrocer.
All the weekends since my move had been fully booked so far. Friends and family as well as the renovation work on the apartment took up a large part of my time. That's why it took a few weeks before I could go on tour alone again.
Now the time had finally come; it was the first weekend without appointments
Right at the start of the year, some others and I went out again. On the first weekend of the year, the Bushcraft Friends winter gathering was on the agenda. This gathering was organised by Bimbi in the forum of the same name and the Facebook group of the same name. It took place on the grounds of the Bushcraft Camp Rhön.
Christmas is just around the corner and every year the question arises of what to give your loved ones.
If your loved ones have an affinity for hiking, this list might contain one or the other suitable gift.
Since my move went almost without a hitch, Bimbi and I could properly enjoy our first free weekend.
Originally we wanted to meet a few dearly beloved goofballs in a parking lot and head to the first trekking site together. But as with the previous tour, this didn't quite work out due to traffic jams.
Autumn is approaching and it was time for us to go on tour again. The P(f)alatines announced an October tour for the long weekend.
So for once the route planning was neither in my hands nor in Bimbi's.
In the last few months I had been outdoors far too little for my taste. Unfortunately, between the everyday duties, job hunting, the upcoming move and the final sprint of my part-time degree programme, there was no time for my hobby.
The dish “Rice with Curry Sauce” is one of my favorite dishes. It is very appealing in taste and is in no way inferior to commercially available trekking meals. This delicious dish is also very easy to prepare in advance and cook on the trail.
