Double-Wall Tents
A double-wall tent consists of a water-permeable inner wall and a waterproof outer shell.
This has the advantage that the moisture the body exhales at night does not immediately condense on the waterproof shell and drip back onto the sleeping bag. However, this advantage is paid for with additional weight due to the material of the inner wall. Therefore, double-wall tents are generally heavier than single-wall tents. Double-wall ultralight tents are now available starting at about 1.5 kg in weight.
