A-Frame

The A-frame is the best-known setup variant. Here, the tarp is pitched in the shape of an "A". This form of tarp setup offers good protection from above. When the sides of the tarp are guyed out all the way to the ground, there is also good protection from two opposite sides.

The higher the tarp is pitched, the worse the protection from wind & weather.

Below is a 1.8x2.6m tarp pitched high (the poles are approx. 1.15m high).

And below pitched low on one side.

All in all, a good setup variant in low wind.
