As Tucas Ponchoquilt

This quilt is something special, because it can not only be used as a quilt at night, but also worn as an insulating poncho during the day.

This poncho quilt is one of my favourite pieces of gear, because it has a number of advantages over other products.

  • The Climashield Apex is synthetic and therefore does not start clumping even in high humidity
  • The foot box can be cinched closed against the wind
  • The head opening can be cinched closed against the wind
  • The quilt can be worn as a poncho during the day and saves you an over-jacket.

However, there are also a few points of criticism from me on this piece of gear.

  • The foot box is only secured with small snap buttons.

I have the model made of 167g Climashield Apex in regular width and M length.

The following data refers to this combination. All in all, the values are stated very optimistically.
